Football gameOur team is short of players – can we borrow from other teams/ages?

There may be times where teams are short of players due to illnesses/injuries/school camps etc and teams may need players to fill in for them. Please check with either the Club President or Secretary if this is allowed and who they are and what team they are coming from.

In certain ages groups/division there are strict rules governing movement of players and illegible players can cause all sorts of heartache for teams and the club including loss of points and fines.

A player cannot play up more than one age division without prior, written permission from the Association. Coaches and managers should be aware of the physical limitations of young players playing in a higher age division.

Football playersNo player may play down a division without prior, written permission from the Association. This must be attached to the Team Sheet Book. A player must be turning 10 (ten) or older to play in fixtures competitions.

What happens if a player is injured during the game?

If the player/coach etc sustains an injury during the game or at training then an incident report must be completed. We need to stress the importance of this due to the possibility that this could result in an insurance claim.

An Incident Claim Form needs to be completed by our Club secretary and sent into the SCCSA within ONE (1) WEEK of sustaining the injury. These can be acquired by emailing admin@sccsa.org.au.

Football playersI am new to club – how do I get involved?

Our Club is always happy to have parents / guardians / grandparents /friends get involved and volunteer their time. This might be in the form of coaching, helping in the canteen, helping pack goals away, emptying bins or being a ground official.

Please contact anyone on the committee to have a chat and let us know what you can do.
